For over thirty years, pianist Eve Egoyan has been an innovative and magnificently creative presence in Canadian new music. PIANO NEXT explores the space between what a piano can do, and what Eve has always wished it could do. In collaboration with media artist David Rokeby, live acoustic performance merges with touch-triggered visuals. In Eve's own works, a modelled piano blends with personal recordings to extend the piano's sonic range — pushing the piano beyond the familiar into the extraordinary.
