Emma Pennell opens tonight's concert with Gustav Mahler's visionary songs of love and loss. Ian Cusson's string trio comprises four movements, each inspired by a painting by the eccentric Renaissance artist, Hieronymus Bosch. (We will project the images during the performance). And we finish with the magnificent virtuosity of Tchaikovsky's spectacular sextet.
