A concert featuring the all-time masters of melody. A miniature gem, Schubert’s Trio in B-flat major is packed with lyricism and drama. Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G minor is a masterful example of a relatively new genre at the time. The program comes to a thrilling close with Arensky’s String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, written as a tribute to Tchaikovsky.
